Hong Kong SAR · licensed crypto off-ramp

Legal crypto OTC / fiat off-ramp merchants

Open a licensed merchant’s official site for crypto → HKD/USD rails. This page lists merchants first — SFC links stay under Reference only.

Only SFC-licensed virtual-asset trading platforms with published fiat/OTC channels. No Telegram street desks, no ChinaCopilot brokerage, no sanctions-evasion playbooks.

Licensed OTC / fiat off-ramp merchants

Each card opens that merchant’s official site (KYC and products live there). ChinaCopilot does not introduce counterparties or move funds.

Not an endorsement. Product scope and eligibility change. Prefer these over unlicensed P2P cash matching.

Google Maps — Hong Kong pins

Hong Kong works well with Google Maps (unlike most of the mainland). Overview of Central, plus office / transit / reference pins. Open in the Google Maps app for turn-by-turn.

Office pins are registered / HQ addresses when known — not a promise of walk-in OTC. Complete KYC on the merchant site first.

How to use a merchant here

  1. Pick a merchant card below and open its official site (not a look-alike).
  2. Complete their KYC; use only fiat deposit/withdraw or OTC flows they publish in-product.
  3. Sell crypto → HKD/USD inside that licensed rail, then use bank FPS / cash / Octopus for local spend.
  4. When you enter the mainland, switch to the mainland payment guide — different Customs and QR rules.

Principles

  • Merchant official sites first; regulator pages are optional reference.
  • Licensed exchange/OTC fiat rails beat Telegram or street cash matching.
  • ChinaCopilot links and explains; we do not hold funds or take a cut unless later disclosed.

Everyday HKD rails

After fiat is in a bank or wallet, visitors usually need Octopus and FPS for local life.

Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)

Banking system regulator — not a retail bank

FPS — Faster Payment System (HKICL)

Local HKD transfers between participating banks/wallets

Octopus

Transport and small retail payments in Hong Kong

Cash when you move on

Hong Kong and the mainland are different Customs territories for travelers. Large cash can require declaration on either side. Licensed crypto conversion does not remove declaration duties.

Hong Kong Customs & Excise

Currency / cash declaration rules for entering or leaving Hong Kong

China Customs (English) — mainland entry

If you later enter the mainland with cash, mainland rules apply separately

This category deliberately excludes

  • Unlicensed P2P / street cash matching ChinaCopilot does not introduce
  • ChinaCopilot acting as your OTC broker, escrow, or referral desk
  • Guides to evade sanctions, bank freezes, or Customs declarations
  • Forcing you through the SFC website before opening a merchant

Hong Kong reference information

Optional background. You do not need to start here — merchants above link to their own sites.

SFC (regulator)

SFC — lists of virtual asset trading platforms

Optional self-check if a merchant’s licence claim looks unclear

SFC — public register of licensed persons

Look up legal entity / CE reference when needed

If a licence claim looks unclear

  1. Compare the merchant’s legal name to the SFC licensed VATP list.
  2. Cross-check the SFC public register (CE reference).
  3. Match domain / app publisher to that legal entity.
  4. If they refuse KYC or only settle in alleys, walk away.
